Overview

Editorial opinion

The OpenWrt One was designed by the OpenWrt project and is built by Banana Pi. It runs official OpenWrt out of the box and has a backup system in NOR flash: flip a switch on the back to boot it and reinstall, which makes it very hard to brick.

It is a developer-friendly board in a metal case, with a 2.5 GbE WAN port, an M.2 NVMe slot, a mikroBUS socket and a USB-C serial console. With just two Ethernet ports it is best as a main router with a separate switch.
