Privacy policy

We designed Voltarum OpenWRT buyers guide to collect as little personal data as possible.

What we do not do

  • No user accounts, comments or newsletters.
  • No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics and no cookies for statistics.
  • We do not sell or share personal data.

What is stored

  • Server logs. Like any website, our servers record technical request data (IP address, page, browser user agent, time) to keep the site running and secure. Logs are kept for a short period and are not used to build profiles.
  • Anonymous statistics. We count page views and clicks on shopping links with Umami, which runs on our own server. It uses no cookies and does not store IP addresses; visits are only kept as aggregated, anonymous statistics (pages, referring sites, country, browser and device type). If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, nothing is recorded.
  • Country of your IP address. To show retailers for your country, our server looks up the country of your IP address in a local database (DB-IP Lite, CC BY 4.0). The lookup happens on our server, nothing is sent to third parties, and neither your IP nor your country is stored.
  • Region preference. If you choose a shopping region, a cookie named region remembers it for up to a year. It only changes the order of retailer links.
  • Theme preference. If you switch between light and dark mode, the choice is saved in your browser’s local storage, not on our servers.

When you click a retailer link, you leave Voltarum OpenWRT buyers guide. The retailer (for example Amazon) may set its own cookies to attribute the purchase, under its own privacy policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may have the right to access or delete personal data. As we hold almost none, the simplest way is to contact us.
