Overview

Editorial opinion

The Beryl 7 is the Wi-Fi 7 successor of the GL.iNet Beryl AX (GL-MT3000). It moves to MediaTek's Filogic MT7987A with four cores, doubles the multi-gig ports to two 2.5 GbE, and is powered over USB-C PD.

Official OpenWrt support arrived in 2026 and is included in the 25.12 release. The Wi-Fi 7 driver for its MT7990 radio is new, so expect fixes in point releases.
